27 Abr Weekly Micromobility Report CW18-2020
My conclusions on these articles:
- Evidence indicates that micro-mobility options will have a strong demand when governments start lifting the lockdown.
- The economic downturn will pose additional pressure on the current operators to be profitable as soon as possible, diversification and aggressive cost-cutting programs seem to be the way to go for achieving it.
- Subscription programs could be a middle ground for those not wanting to own a bike/scooter and nor using a free-floating service to avoid contagion risks. And the most important one from my perspective, cities must review their urban planning. It has been said many times that our lives have changed, if true, it is time for our municipalities to rethink where and how we spend our days.
